Description

If you’ve been into survey sites for a while, you might know this site previously as PopulusLive. Now Y Live, this survey site specialises in business, culture and politics research.

On the downside, some say you don’t get invites to surveys as often as with other sites (and quotas fill up sharpish so you have to be quick).

You get varying numbers of points for each survey, with a conversion value of £1 per point. The payout threshold is quite high at £50, so it’ll probably be a while before you’re cashing in.

Pay

You get paid in points and these vary per survey. Each point is worth £1. Points are credited once the survey closes (this could be within a day, or could be a wait of up to 3 months – depending on how long the survey is open for). The payout threshold is £50 and payments are made by BACs (using Hyperwallet – 18+ only) or cheque.

The surveys are infrequent but the pay is fairly decent, working out at £1 per five minutes, or £12 an hour. But realistically, since you don’t get invited to surveys often and the quotas fill up quickly, you can’t rely on this as a regular income.

There is also a monthly prize draw for £250. Members who have screened out of a survey because it is full or because they were invited but subsequently do not meet the eligibility criteria are automatically enrolled into the draw.

Reviews

Y Live has a very healthy rating of 4.6/5 on Trustpilot. Users say sometimes the starter questions are a little dull but the decent pay makes them worthwhile. They also like that payment is made automatically once they reach the threshold.
